Fred Radke
Leader of the Harry James Orchestra

Audiences experienced the timeless sound of the Big Band Era with the Harry James Orchestra, led by Fred Radke—Harry James’s own former lead trumpeter. Radke, praised even by James for his remarkably similar tone and style, carried the legacy forward with authenticity and energy. A seasoned performer since age fifteen who worked with icons like Marlene Dietrich and Johnny Mathis, he brought the unmistakable Harry James sound to the stage, offering an unforgettable musical tribute from the man who helped shape it.
